In Russia, in addition to typical signs denoting a toilet (restroom / WC), the Russian letters М and Ж are very often used. The joint finding of these letters on the sign is completely analogous to the silhouettes of a man and a woman on the toilet indicator.
Separate Russian letters М or Ж mean that in the first case you have a men's toilet (М is the first letter of the Russian word МУЖЧИНЫ - Men), and in the second case - a women's toilet (Ж is the first letter of the Russian word ЖЕНЩИНЫ - Women).
