Bad Blood is a Canadian mafia show based on true events.

The first season was based on the book "Business or Blood: Mafia Boss Vito Rizzuto's Last War", whereas the second season continues the story, but is not based on true events, but completely invented.

It is about one of the most feared mafia bosses in Canada, Vito Rizzito, who built a huge mafia empire. Everything seems to be perfect until one day he is arrested for involvement in three murders of an enemy criminal family in 1981. From there he has to watch his empire fall apart helplessly and his family members and closest confidants are killed one after the other. But after he is released from prison in 2012, he begins a murderous revenge campaign.
