A scene from Fritz Lang's Metropolis! I did new music as an exercise in composing and orchestration. Please share your thoughts!

Maria is being cloned into her robot self by the mad professor. A feast of visual effects done long before the power of digital computing.

I have not considered the film as a whole when composing for this clip. I wanted to explore expressionistic writing in music and work on colour and sounds using traditional instruments.

The lineup for this is: Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet and Horn in F.
