I will show you how to sow lawn grass on a plot of land. You can sow lawn grass as follows: Clear the area of weeds, stones and other obstacles. Plow or hill up to loosen the soil. Remove large clumps of soil and distribute the remaining soil evenly.
Soil improvement (optional):
If the soil is of poor quality, compost or humus can be added to improve structure and fertility.
If the soil is acidic, liming material can be added to adjust the pH.
Selecting a lawn grass mixture:
Depending on your climate and growing conditions, select the appropriate turfgrass mixture. Some mixtures are designed for sunny areas, others for shady areas.
Sowing:
Spread the lawn grass mixture evenly over the prepared area. You can use a hand seeder or scatter the grass seeds evenly by hand.
Apply a small layer of soil (about 1-2 cm) on top to cover the seeds and ensure good contact with the soil.
Watering:
Water the sown area well with water. It is important to keep the soil moist, but not over-watered, so as not to cause the seeds to rot.
Lawn care:
Keep the soil moist by watering the area regularly.
Once the seeds have sprouted and a young lawn appears, remove weeds by hand.
Carry out the first mowing of the lawn when the grass reaches a height of about 8-10 cm. Leave the lawn height at about 5-7 cm after mowing.
