Lakurim Chhaya is based on a goatherd song from the eastern hills of Nepal. Shiva Kumar Khatri learned this goatherd melody from his elders during his young goat-herding days in Bhojpur. This is the rarest goatherd tune and must be one of its kinds as we were unable to find anyone aware of this tune during our research in the Eastern hills of Nepal. The song is recorded live at Ghopte Bheer, Ahale, Sunsari.
