Bangkok, Thailand’s vibrant, sprawling capital consistently ranks as the most visited destination on earth. Bangkok now straddles the Chao Phraya a few kilometers upriver from a bay that flows into a gulf and, eventually, the sea. In 1782 it became the capital of Siam–the name Thailand wasn’t invented until 1939. Its previous capital, Ayutthaya Burmese Army.

Bangkok greenspace new park is Chulalongkorn Centenary water-retention pond, underground drainage system, and rain garden. Another is the newly expanded Benjakitti Park elevated pedestrian walkway to Lumpini, the city’s first public park. They will all help combat Bangkok’s serious flooding problem.
