The guards at the Museum of Art spend all day walking among intriguing, colorful, subtle, and beautiful pieces of art. When they're not keeping an eye on museum visitors to ensure they're scribbling with pencils (never pens!) and not smudging canvases with the tips of their noses, they get to spend a lot of time gazing at incredible artworks.

Neiman Mocombe ’26, who is a museum intern for campus engagement, as well as a multimedia correspondent for the Bowdoin communications office, recently decided to ask a couple of guards (as well as the assistant director of museum communications) about their favorite works currently displayed in the galleries.
