Raid gate removal were recently confirmed to be coming in a few weeks and along with it, some potential future changes. It was stated that they might plan on allowing older content to be played singleplayer while the latest raid to still be party oriented. In this video, Kanima explains how this update has happened in other MMORPG and could be successful but also backfires.
