Seismic Slosh.mov
This video simulates seismic shaking of two reservoirs: a flat-bottom urban type, and the much larger Three Gorges Reservoir of China. The amount of "slosh" each experiences depends on the period of shaking as well as its duration, orientation and magnitude. Earthquake-generated "slosh" is observed widely, even at distances where the shaking itself can not be felt.
