Welcome to my brand new tutorials series on PHP Programming Language. My name is Ashman and I will be your instructor in this course.
This is a Server Side Development Course using PHP Programming Language. This course is designed for beginners.
Though you are not required to know any programming knowledge to pursue this course, however, basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript will be of great help for you.
I will be emphasizing on PHP and MySQL in this course. After completing this course, you will be ready to start working as PHP Developer.
Due to the fact that PHP is one of the largerly used Web Programming Language to develop websites and web portals, you should not experience any problem in getting a job as PHP Developer.

My today's Agenda is to introduce you with PHP.
PHP stands for PHP: HyperText Preprocessor.
1. It is a Server Side Scripting Language for building Logic Driven Websites.
2. It is widely used as Open-Source General Purpose Scripting Language.
PHP was founded by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994 to track visitors to his online Resume. He gave it a name "Personal Home Page" to the suite of scripts.
Later on, Zeev Suraski and Andi Gutmens introduced a new Parser Engine in 1997 called PHP 3.0. And, it was then named "Personal Home Page Construction Kit".
Then onwards, PHP has undergone tremendous changes and long development process. Many PHP versions were rolled out after that.
Finally, in 2004, PHP 5 was rolled out.
The current version of PHP is PHP7. I will be teaching PHP7 throughout this course.
