Port of Hamburg - Superlative logistics in Germany's largest seaport
The Port of Hamburg is a universal port of superlatives! The Port of Hamburg is rightly called the "Gateway to the World". It connects the Elbe metropolis with 950 ports in 178 countries. It is the largest seaport in Germany and the third largest in Europe. About 9,000 ocean-going vessels unload their cargo here each year, requiring about 4,000 trucks, two barges, and 60 trains. More than 10,000 ships carry about 136 million tons of cargo per year crisscrossing the Port of Hamburg.
