The creation date is an important piece of information about a note. You can sort or filter your notes by creation date to quickly find notes that were created on a specific date or date range. Sometimes when you create notes, you may want to change the creation date.
A few examples of when this could be useful:
You scanned previous years’ tax returns and when you imported them into Evernote, they have creation dates of today! You can edit the creation date of each note to match the date each tax return was created.
You copied and pasted notes from a word processor into a new note, but want to edit the creation date to match when you first created the notes.
