Rapper Lil' Jon, media mogul Oprah and actress Kerry Washington were just a few of the big names at the DNC. When it comes to celebrities and candidates, an endorsement could help or hinder a campaign. Wharton School of Business, Professor of Neuroscience, Psychology and Marketing, Michael Platt, co-authored a 2023 study titled "The Marketing Psychology Behind Celebrity Endorsements." He tells us about the findings. Professor Platt also talked about the "vampire effect". He explains that to us. Platt shares what his reaction was when he saw the amount of celebrities endorsing Kamala Harris at the DNC. All day yesterday there was speculation that Beyonce would appear. Platt discusses whether that was actually going to happen or whether it was a ploy to get people to stick around until the end.
