Let's start by understanding what a tag is. Think of a tag as a label that we can assign to user actions. For instance, we can set a tag when a user clicks a button, or we can add a tag next to a specific text block, indicating that the user has received that particular message.
Many of you often ask about the difference between tags and variables. As I mentioned earlier, a tag serves as a label assigned at a specific point in the funnel or triggered by subscriber actions. On the other hand, a variable is a field where user responses are recorded.
We can create, edit, and delete tags in a dedicated tag menu, as well as create tags directly within the funnel. In this video, we'll explore various examples of tag usage. For example, I want to identify all users who received a specific message throughout the funnel. By adding the tag after each message, I can easily locate these users and send them a targeted offer.
Another example is tracking button clicks within the chatbot. If I have multiple lessons, I can send a bonus lesson only to subscribers who clicked a button and viewed my first lesson. It's a powerful way to customize the user experience and provide relevant content.
