In this lesson, I have discussed the sample design process.
The first step:
1. Defining the target population: TP is the complete group of objects or elements relevant to research project.
2. Choosing the sampling frame: It is a complete listing of accessible elements in the target population from w/h the sample is drawn.
3. Selecting the sampling method: Probability sampling, Non probability sampling.
4. Determining Sample Size: Appropriate number of sample which can adequately represent the population.
5. Implementing the sampling plan: Applying the sampling plan by selecting the individuals or items that will be included in the sample.
The relation and difference among Target population, sample frame, sample and sample unit have been discussed with examples to make it clear.
