Elephant Family Thrives After Returning to Southwest China's Habitat

After their celebrated return to their natural habitat, a family of elephants in southwest China has grown, with a new calf joining the herd. Peng Jinfu, an Asian elephant monitor, expressed delight at the family's healthy condition and natural adaptation. According to Wang Bin, Director of the Xishuangbanna Asian Elephant Conservation and Management Center, the expansion of this elephant family is a promising sign of successful conservation efforts.
