Toph vs. Bucciarati (Avatar: The Last Airbender vs. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
Avatar: The Last Airbender (abbreviated as ATLA) is set in an Asiatic-inspired world in which some people can telekinetically manipulate one of the four elements—water, earth, fire or air—through practices known as "bending", inspired by Chinese martial arts. The only individual who can bend all four elements, the "Avatar", is responsible for maintaining harmony among the world's four nations and serves as the bridge between the physical world and the spirit world.
A century ago, young Avatar Aang, afraid of his new responsibilities, fled from his home and was forced into the ocean by a storm. He encased himself in suspended animation in an iceberg near the South Pole. Shortly afterward, Fire Lord Sozin, the ruler of the Fire Nation, launched a world war to expand his nation's empire. Knowing that the Avatar must be an Air Nomad, he carried out a genocide against the Air Nomads with the help of a comet enhancing firebenders' power. A hundred years later, siblings Katara and Sokka, teenagers of the Southern Water Tribe, accidentally discover Aang and revive him. In the second season, Aang learns earthbending from Toph Beifong, a blind twelve-year-old earthbending prodigy.
Toph Beifong is an earthbending master, one of the most powerful of her time, and the discoverer of metalbending. Blind since birth, Toph was constantly treated condescendingly because of her visual impairment, particularly by her overprotective parents, Lao and Poppy Beifong. Upon discovering badgermoles, earthbending animals who are also blind, she learned how to use earthbending as an extension of her senses. This gave her the ability to "see" every vibration that passes through the ground.
Having developed her own unique style of earthbending, Toph acquired a toughened personality and became famous for winning underground earthbending tournaments under the alias "The Blind Bandit", doing so behind her parents' backs. Although initially uninterested in directly aiding the war effort, she eventually chose to leave behind her old life, and travel with Avatar Aang and his friends as his earthbending teacher, when her parents finally became unbearable for her.
After Republic City's formation, Toph became the city's first Chief of Police, forming the Metalbending Police Force to help maintain order. She had two daughters with two different men: Lin, who succeeded her as Chief of Police, and Suyin, who created the metal city of Zaofu. Toph eventually set out to roam the world in search of enlightenment before settling down in the Foggy Swamp.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind (Japanese Hepburn: JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken Ōgon no Kaze) is the fourth season of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime television series by David Production, adapting Golden Wind, the fifth part of Hirohiko Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. Set in Italy during 2001, two years after the events of Diamond is Unbreakable, the series follows the adventures of Giorno Giovanna, the son of Dio Brando (from Phantom Blood and Stardust Crusaders) albeit conceived with Jonathan Joestar's body, who joins the criminal organization Passione in the hopes of becoming a gangster (or "Gang-Star") and taking control of the organization in the name of reform.
Bruno Bucciarati was initially a caporegime in the Passione mafia family, Bucciarati teams up with Giorno and leads a group of rogue gang members against their boss. Bucciarati grew up in a fishing village and after his parents divorced, he chose to live with his father. When he was twelve years old, his father was shot by drug dealers who had hired his boat and when they tried to kill him in the hospital, Bruno fatally stabbed them. He entered the world of the Passione mob for protection, but years later was horrified to discover that Passione was responsible for what happened to his father. Bucciarati's Stand is Sticky Fingers which has the ability to place a fully functional zipper on any object just by touching it. For example, Sticky Fingers can place a zipper on a wall, unzip it, and then pass through the resulting opening. The zipper can also be used to take things or people apart, or even mismatch various objects, and he can use this ability on himself if necessary. Bucciarati's hatred of drugs aspires him to help Giorno's dream of overthrowing the boss. During their first confrontation with Diavolo, Bucciarati is killed, but Giorno's Gold Experience manages to keep Bucciarati alive, albeit in a corpse-like state, until he fully passes on in the final battle with Diavolo after giving Giorno the arrow he needed to defeat the boss.
