Extradition proceedings against Okemo and Gichuru to proceed
The supreme court has allowed the director of public prosecutions Noordin Haji to begin extradition proceedings against former cabinet minister Chris Okemo and former Kenya power CEO Samuel Gichuru. The two are alleged to have defrauded Kenya power and lighting company between 1998 and 2002 of millions of shillings and hid the proceeds in offshore accounts in the UK
