I'll show you here how I animated my own version without tracing at all. This is a more advanced tutorial, and will be harder to follow if you're newer to animation. It might still be interesting, who knows.

I use my own character, Socket, for this demonstration. The big things I wanna focus on here are breaking down your animations, deconstructing animation, and combining movements to make more complicated animations out of simpler parts.
