In this video, I show you how to set up a VMware virtual machine on Linux.
Prerequisites:
1. A Computer
2. A Broadband Internet Connection (to download the VMware installer and VMware Tools)
Required Files:
VMware Installer: https://www.vmware.com/products/works...
Commands:
cd ~/[the folder the VMware bundle file is in] (example: cd ~/Downloads)
sudo sh [the name of the VMware bundle file] (example: sudo sh VMware-Player-15.5.1-15018445.x86_64.bundle)
*If you want to install Windows in your virtual machine, here's the link to download the Windows 10 ISO file:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/softw...
*If you are installing Windows XP or later in your virtual machine, VMware should automatically install VMware Tools on your guest operating system. If for whatever reason it doesn't, you can manually download them from the link below:
https://packages.vmware.com/tools/esx...
*If you already have VMware installed, or are using Windows, skip to 3:40.
