Here is the easiest and most professional way I've ever found to make backdrop for a film set. I printed on 1/2" sheets of 4x'8' foam core then press fit them against the wall. Each back drop costs around $800 but because they are firm and matt I find them way better to use than a green screen on white backdrop.
We have printed over 100 backdrops for film and movies sets over the past year. There is no comparison between a sturdy foam board and those crappy banner backdrops the wave around and reflect the light in weird ways making it almost impossible to film decent video.
