Everybody needs to eat. But with over 7 billion people on the planet, the problem of producing enough food is complex and multi-faceted. Can biotechnology be responsibly used to reduce food waste, or produce food or nutritional molecules without causing widespread shortages of either, and without harming the environment that future generations will inherit?
