After Kabaka Mwanga was driven out of his favorite island, Bulingugwe, by British imperialists in 1892, over 700 Baganda enthusiasts and fighters were killed in a battle where the British used the Maxim gun. Despite its historical significance, Bulingugwe was later sold to Madhvani by Ham Mukasa, who claimed ownership after the raid. Today, many Baganda want to repossess Bulingugwe Island due to its crucial role in their monarchical history. How can they reclaim the island? Can dialogue be the solution?
