🕐 Time 🕑 is 🕒 flying 🕓 by... in this episode the living quarters of the base on the Earthlike planet, gets completed. It happens quickly in these first two episodes, but this actually took a lot of time. Most of that time was chipping away at stone and iron ore boulders with the hand drill, which isn't very exciting to watch.
⛏ During the boring part of the resource collection ⛏, the poor spawn rover gets wrecked. Several times. And then a few times more. I have absolutely no idea what happened in the thumbnail image, it just exploded when I unlocked the connector. Borked. Again.
🏭 Now we will move on to the next portion of the base, the production/warehouse building. Once again, I planned this out in creative mode so I could be... umm... creative 🤨 . Once the construction is complete on the warehouse we will still need a decent garage for any wheeled vehicles that will get built (the small grid ones mostly) and someplace to land and connect the small grid ships we need. For those portions of the base I'm hoping to have figured out how to make a 3rd person time-lapse, so those won't be blueprint projections.
⛟ I also build the spawn rover replacement, the "SGT", a.k.a., Small Grid Truck. This may explain why I do the planning in creative mode, my 'creativity' trait needs lots of time to be... well... creative.
😃 Hope you enjoy! 👍👍
