The People Could Fly is based on the folktale of the same name, which tells the story of how long ago some Africans knew how to tap the spiritual part of themselves and direct their minds and bodies to do whatever they wished.
This folktale has been used as a metaphor and woven into a dramatic piece with music and dance to teach our young people how to access the spiritual power within them to accomplish whatever they wish and figuratively,
to fly.
