Hello Friends
This is our another project based on Arduino Nano. We made a dual axis solar tracking system using Arduino Nano, Servo Motor, LDR and Two mini Solar plates. In this project we accurately demonstrated the working of Dual Axis solar tracker and also shown the real advantage of dual axis solar tracker over advantage of single axis solar tracker.

Working of Dual Axis Solar Tracker :

Dual axis solar tracker is the combination of two single axis solar tracker, so if we want to learn How Dual Axis Solar Tracker works first we have to learn the working of single axis solar tracker or how single axis solar tracker works.

In the single axis solar tracker two LDR (Light Dependent Resistance ) sensor used, suppose we are using vertical single axis solar tracker in this condition two LDR sensor placed in horizontally and a barrier placed between these two sensors. in this condition both sensors monitors the sunlight, if left LDR sensors detects more solar energy then Right side of LDR that means sun is in the left side of plate so we have to rotate the solar plate in the Left side of vertical axis solar tracker, and if light detected by the Right LDR sensor that means sun is in the right side of solar plate so we have to rotate the solar plate in the right side of vertical axis.

For rotating the Axis of Solar Tracker we used a Servo motor 995G for rotation, this is a powerful tiny servo motor and it can easily rotates the Solar plate of Single axis solar tracker.

But in this project we used dual axis solar tracker not the single axis solar tracker. Dual axis solar tracker is nothing but thr extension of single axis solar tracker. Dual axis solar tracker is the combination of Vertical Single Axis Solar Tracker and Horizontal Single Axis Solar Tracker.

In this Dual Axis Solar Tracker we used Four LDR sensors, left and right LDR are responsible for vertical axis of tracker and up and down are responsible of horizontal axis of solar tracker. in this project two servo motors are used, one is for vertical Axis and other one is for Horizontal Axis of solar tracker, in this way it becomes a dual axis solar tracker.

Components Used In Dual Axis Solar Tracker :
1. Arduino Nano
2. Servo Motor (Tower Pro SG 90)
3. LDR Light Dependent Resistor
4. Solar Plate (6 volt 100mA - Pcs)
5. Power Supply.
6. Chassis (Made of Aluminium Composite and Wood)

Hello friends in this video we are going to look at how solar trackers work. in this project we demonstrated the Dual axis solar tracker by using Arduino and we also shown the advantage of dual axis solar tracker, we also focused on how single axis solar tracker works and of course how dual axis solar tracker works. we can say daul axis solar tracker is nothing but the combination of two single axis tracker. In this project I will show you solar tracking system working for not only single axis tracker solar but also dual axis solar tacker. in this project we Explained how vertical single axis tracker and horizontal single axis tracker can works together for dual axis solar tracker. in this project we described types of solar trackers not only single axis but also dual axis.

Advantage of Dual Axis Solar Tracker
1. It can increase the electricity up to 36% while Single Axis Solar Tracker can save only 30%

Disadvantage Of Dual Axis Solar Tracker
1. Complex Design
2. Not easy to install
3. Calibration Required
4. Strange behaviour in cloudy or rainy season
5. need to clean sensor regularly.
