This Samsung RV510 laptop came in with a loose dc connection. The voltage solder point actually becomes oxidized and loosens up from the motherboard. You can wiggle or angle the tip of the cord in just the right way to get it to power on.
It uses a power plug that's soldered directly onto the motherboard.
