RINGU Q&A W/ HIDEO NAKATA - The Frida Cinema
On Saturday, March 30th, The Frida Cinema had the pleasure of welcoming Hideo Nakata, director of RINGU (1998), to a virtual discussion following a screening of the film. The director discussed a number of topics in relation to his film, that which is known as a J-Horror staple.
The Q&A was graciously moderated and translated by longtime Frida Cinema volunteer Hiroki Funahashi.
Film Description:
When her niece is found dead along with three friends after viewing a supposedly cursed videotape, reporter Reiko sets out to investigate. She finds the tape, watches it, and receives a phone call informing her that she'll die in a week.
