After a whopping two requests, I present the entire first block of the 40/29 News at 5 p.m. Central from April 8, 1994. The portion on Kurt Cobain was previously uploaded at    • Kurt Cobain's death news report from ...

I have this because I used to record reruns of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," which 40/29 aired at 4 p.m. weekdays in 1994. This upload starts at about 4:58 p.m. April 8, 1994, and includes a commercial for "First Light," the broadcasts from First Baptist Church of Rogers, Ark.; the interrupted closing credits of "Conundrum" (40/29 would routinely cut those credits short to start the newscast); and the first block of news. 40/29 maintains multiple studios because of the mountainous geography of Northwest Arkansas; Chris Peddie broadcast from Fayetteville, and Marisa Karber broadcast from Fort Smith, which was about 90 minutes away via U.S. Highway 71.
