Just happened to get this on film. Apparently this is a very prevalent issue that Woody gets just about every time we play, but it's the first time I had been locked out of multiplayer because of it. Here's his strat on how to circumvent it, and it DOES work for me too!

On Wednesday nights, the Whales gather, and... I've been asked to record some gameplay so I DID. Tonight it was me and Woody, with some extra commentary by Coop!

I was using a Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero (+OBS Noise Gate) while recording this video.

I was using a Turtle Beach Recon Controller for this video, which you can snag here (FULL DISCLAIMER - I have TWO of these controllers white and black. The white controller constantly disconnects and the cable it came with is defective... The black controller though works fine all the time):
