Failed coup in Bolivia sees government supporters defend square from tanks and troops
Luis Arce, the president of Bolivia, has seen off an attempted coup, after calling on supporters to 'mobilise and organise as troops and tanks appeared to seize a central square in La Paz. Under the apparent direction of Juan José Zúñiga, a former top military general, a tank was seen ramming the doors of the presidential place
