Developers starting out with Angular 2 may feel a bit overwhelmed by the new syntax or the verbose way of writing our applications. In this talk, we're going to cover the conceptual differences between the two versions of Angular. We will review code examples written in both versions with the goal of demystifying any confusion that developers may face. By the end, the talk will have imparted a guided understanding of Angular 2's new approach as well as a better idea of how to migrate existing Angular 1.5+ applications. We are going to discover that everything’s changed, but nothing is different.

Patrick is very active in open source on projects such as Universal Angular 2, Angular 2, AngularJS, and FalcorJS. He is also working on the development of Angular 2 server-side rendering as Universal Angular 2 and teaching Modern Web Development at AngularClass. He was previously the CTO of Keychain Logistics and a HackReactor Instructor and Alum.
