Centers on a Southern California family, whose excessive lifestyle is fueled by their criminal activities.

Cast:
▶ Shawn Hatosy as Andrew "Pope" Cody, the oldest Cody son, who is mentally disturbed and considers suicide. He reappears after having served three years in Folsom State Prison and had an obsessive infatuation with Baz's girlfriend Catherine, whom he was in love with when they were younger. He is attached to Catherine's daughter, Lena, and takes it upon himself to give her a good life, until he puts her into the foster care system to protect her from her family's criminal lifestyle. He is always suspicious of new or known people entering the Cody household.
▶ Ben Robson as Craig Cody, the middle Cody son, who has a predilection for drugs and extremely risky activities. After J breaks up with Nicky, to keep her out of the family’s lifestyle, Craig brings her back in by giving her drugs and sex. He had an on and off relationship with his girlfriend Renn Randall. She overdoses one night and he thought she was going to die, so he steals her drugs and jewelry and leaves her to die. She lives and finds out about Craig and hires a bunch of guys to torture him. He runs into her again and they rekindle the romance and run off to Mexico for a while. They eventually come back and she ends up getting pregnant with a child they name Nick.
▶ Jake Weary as Deran Cody, the youngest Cody son, a former competitive surfer who is gay and owns and operates a bar as a legitimate side business. Deran was in a on-again/off-again relationship with Adrian until they parted ways for his safety.
▶ Finn Cole as Joshua "J" Cody, Smurf's grandson who moves in with her and his uncles following the death of his mother, Julia, who was Pope's twin sister. Julia’s overdose was part of an ongoing drug addiction that ruined J’s formative years. After Smurf takes him under her wing, she teaches him the ropes of the business. He is very smart, organized, level-headed and takes things with ease. J is the only one who will challenge Smurf and wants to take power over her and her life.
