Why you should use an iPad for your Electronic Drums
I got my iPad 9th generation for $299 at Walmart but they've since gone up in price there, so right now looks like apple.com is the best price for $329. GarageBand gives you a fully capable DAW with realistic MIDI drums that you can control with your e-drum kit. In addition to that is has a full suite of plugins and virtual instruments. All you need is a cable to connect from your drum module to the iPad, like this one https://amzn.to/3H7IZNF, and some headphones and you have a complete home recording studio! If you want a REALLY cheap way to record audio directly into GarageBand, here's the $10 iRig https://amzn.to/3o2PFFf. If you plan on recording MIDI only, you won't need this.
