the simple steps on how to fix the rendering or editing crash problems some of you might have, i had both problems and had to go trough forums, youtube etc to find the solution.
In case none of this works:
i would defragment your hard disk , then try again. it takes ALOT of processing power to render video, so the more organised your PC is, the faster it will work.
one more thing. it will be faster if you are rendering to a SECOND hard drive, instead of the one with the source files. if that is a possibility, go for it.
If it does not work here is another option: download a codec pack, then you can render.wmv and then convert it with bestfreevideoconverter to a mp4. Heres the codec link: http://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
