On the Pulse is a series of online presentations from physician leaders in research and care at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation® and the Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute® addressing the latest cardiovascular advancements and current challenges.
A coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) is a procedure used to treat coronary heart disease. It diverts blood around narrowed or clogged parts of the major arteries to improve blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. In this session, our physician speakers will walk attendees through the patient journey from diagnosis to treatment to recovery and beyond! This presentation will feature perspectives from both an interventional cardiologist and a cardiothoracic surgeon.
Join this session to learn more about:
• The diagnosis of coronary artery disease
• The CABG procedure, history and research
• Expectations for the recovery process
• Living life to the fullest after CABG
