Toon Boom vs Flash - Critical Comparison
Most Toon Boom recommendations I've seen abruptly state "It is better and superior and you should switch if you animate in Flash"
I don't agree with that one-size-fits-all assessment one bit, especially considering the 'ideal' version of the program costs $2000 or about $70 a month. At that cost it better be a better program.
This video takes a relatively thorough look at what Toon Boom and Flash both can do from the perspective of a flash animator. I dedicated a LOT of time to learning Toon Boom during my way-too-short trial period, building 2 rigs in that time. Should you switch? I can definitively say "maybe."
I personally am going to (eventually), but I'm not gonna hastily say whether or not you should. Hopefully this video should help you decide for your self, however, if the price tag is worth it.
