In this video we will go through the procedure of setting up our system and installing Davinci Resolve 15 from Blackmagic Design. This is the free version available for MacOS, Windows and GNU/Linux.
Setting up our system:
For nVidia cards recommend 390.xx as a minimum, so please ensure you have updated video card drivers BEFORE continuing. For AMD i am not entirely sure as i do not have access to a card for testing.
PLEASE CHECK THAT YOUR VIDEO CARD IS A SUPPORTED DEVICE!
Prerequisites
sudo apt install libssl1.0.0 ocl-icd-opencl-dev fakeroot
If libssl1.0.0 fails try this version instead
sudo apt install libssl-dev
If libssl1.0.0 is not in your repos, you can grab it below:

Installing Video Card Toolkits
NVidia
sudo apt install nvidia-cuda-toolkit
AMD
sudo apt install mesa-opencl-icd
Create required symlinks
sudo ln -s /usr/lib /usr/lib64
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgstreamer-1.0.so.0 /usr/lib/libgstreamer-0.10.so.0
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgstbase-1.0.so.0 /usr/lib/libgstbase-0.10.so.0
sudo ln -s /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libssl.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib/libssl.so.10
sudo ln -s /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcrypto.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.10
Set up out build environment
sudo apt install build-essential
sudo apt install linux-source
sudo apt install linux-headers-generic
Recommended Install
