Bicycle Phone Mount | How To Attach A Phone To A Bicycle with Bicycle Tech:
A bicycle phone holder is exactly the same as a bike computer holder, except instead of a cycling computer that shows you your speed, it allows you to securely attach your smartphone to a handlebar, stem, or top tube. Bike phone mounts are designed to securely attach your smartphone to the handlebar while riding with a clearly visible display. The mount attaches to a bike stem or handlebar and adjusts to fit most diameters.
I liked that the mount didn't take up any space on our bike's handlebars and kept our phone securely centered where I adjusted it for easy access and viewing. The mount system is incredibly strong, and we didn't worry at all that our phones would fall out of the holder.
Because the locking mechanism is so secure, it takes some time to get used to unlocking your phone from the holder with one hand. This mount stayed mounted the whole time but I'm not sure I would recommend this mount for aggressive mountain bikes with big phones without testing it with an old device first. The phone I used was a Pixel 4XL in a big case and it held on find with my use and abuse.
Some mounting systems, such as this can be used with any phone as long as the phone fits the mount. If you have a favorite non-Apple or Samsung phone case or phone, a universal holder might be worth it like this one. Some mounts are made specifically for certain phone models, and even "universal" mounts may be too small for large phones or too wide for smaller models.
Instead, they use a universal mount that attaches to the handlebar or stem and fits almost any phone, even if it's already in a protective case. In any case, most bike phone mounts should provide a secure way to carry your phone on your bike and protect it from the weather while also allowing you to use it.
Rubber pads on the clip and holder also protect your phone and steering wheel from scratches. The holding mount attaches to the handlebar anchor with a long bolt and has a flip switch lock for double security to keep the phone secure. Phone cases and the universal holder rotates as well to provide optimal viewing angles.
