Sally lives in a society that is obsessed with control. The human race controls all things natural. We've become obsessed with perverting nature and overcoming god with technology. The world is comfortable, controlled and safe, so much, in-fact, that Sally dreams of escaping it.
She's become numb and longs for a life where she can earn her right to survive. Sally wants to escape to the Havens.
This short was a monumental amount of work. It's twice as long as my average short film. I was working on this thing for 4-5 months and I'm glad it's finally done. I'm very mixed on the finished result. I like the story and themes a lot but there're a handful of things I think should have been better explored, in a longer video. Or dropped all-together into a shorter video. Just feels a little awkward to me.
I'll probably feel different about it in a few days, after a little break.
