What Is The Tragic Reason Darth Nihilus Turned To The Dark Side?
Darth Nihilus is most likely the Sith with the highest death count, with the remnants of his dark soul showing little sympathy for his victims. However, Nihilus was once a Jedi, valiantly protecting the Republic from the onslaught of the Mandalorians. However, throughout this war, this unnamed Jedi would lose all that he loved and cared about, leaving him cold and empty inside. When Revan ordered the activation of the mass shadow generator, this Jedi was trapped on the destroyed planet, with the death of many fellow Jedi compounding his grief. Completely losing the will to live, his personality would give way to a darker persona, one consumed by emptiness and eventually hunger. He then began consuming the life force of other survivors to alleviate the emptiness he felt within him. However, his hunger could never be truly quenched and he soon became addicted to the consumption of force energy, creating the wound in the force that is Darth Nihilus.
