Use Custom Properties in SOLIDWORKS files to keep track of important information about your designs. User-defined company information like part number and surface finish can be specified quickly and easily to allow automatic and accurate BOM creation and title block creation. Calculated parameters such as weight and surface area updates automatically as needed.
Custom Property information is critical to documentation and data management. PDM and ERP systems read the metadata to automate processes and aid in accurate reporting.
