Have you ever wondered what to do when you finally receive your menstrual cup in the mail? You might ask yourself "do I just put it in right away or do I wash it with water?" I think we have all been there so Meg made us this awesome video! Today she talks about the 5 ways you can clean and sterilize your menstrual cup, how to take care of your little silicone friend and how to dispose of your Pixie Cup. Just an FYI If you start seeing cracks in your silicone or residue building up it is time to get a new cup! Don't use that thing anymore if these signs occur it means that the silicone is breaking down.
When cleaning your cup we recommend that you boil it before and after your period. You can use a pot, our sterilizing cup, or the steamer. I will make sure to put a link to all these products below, accept the pot😉 Also believe it or not the best way to "recycle" silicone is to burn it right in the fire🔥 This does not create toxic fumes and the silicone turns to ash! Super cool right?
