First of all, sorry! I mean, I’m not sure if you’ll ever watch this, but if you do — just know it’s all in good fun. You’re a legend, and I am just a fan. I am just hopelessly obsessed. Sometimes that means I end up making jokes, roasting, and pretending I know more about cricket than the people actually on the field.
This video is just a silly mock interview — no disrespect intended. You’ve given us countless memories, from your iconic cover drives to the way you passionately scream “Ben Stokes” after every wicket. Honestly, if I had even 0.1% of your energy, I’d probably be productive for once.
So, if any joke goes a little too far, blame it on my poor sense of humor and the fact that I didn’t make it as a cricketer. I’m a massive fan, and this is all part of the endless cycle of loving cricket — celebrate, criticize, repeat.
Anyway, good luck for your next match or next ad (you probably don’t need it) And if I ever get the chance to meet you, I promise to awkwardly avoid eye contact and say something like “it was just comedy, bhai.”
