The Poet by Michael Connelly | The Best Crime Thriller I Have Ever Read? | *SPOILERS* Book Review
My first ever Michael Connelly novel and it did not disappoint. I went ahead and ordered the next one of this two-part series.
I have read several crime thrillers, but this one is worlds apart. From the characterisation to the plot everything was a treat to read. The novel provides an immersive experience.
The Poet by Michael Connelly is a novel that revolves around the supposed suicide of Jack McAvoy's twin brother. Jack is an investigative reporter with little know-how of how federal investigations are done but still provides an outsider's perspective in the novel. He is a little sceptical since the beginning about his brother's death, and tires to investigate it by himself which leads him to darker realities and a vicious pattern.
