Why do some Mexicans look Asian?

I'm Mexican and I was living in Vietnam. When I was there, I was asked a hundred of times if I'm Asian. Why do they keep asking this question if there are loads of Mexican with similar features like me?
Update: Everyone asked me to do a DNA test so I took a test with MyHeritage and here are the results:

In Mexico, a lot of people would say my features are indigenous though. We Mexicans look so different that we are very used to see people with different features in our country.
So I started to think more and more about this topic and I found some interesting parts of history that I didn't know.
