Precum is also called ejaculatory fluid and its secretion occurs in men during sexual stimulation. So does precum have sperm in it? It definitely does. Small well designed studies have shown the presence of motile sperm in precum that increases the odds of pregnancy from precum.

Precum secretions contains fluid secretions from cowpers bland, the glands of littre and other accessory sex organs. The precum pregnancy rate though is very low at the precum pregnancy rate that we know was derived from studies that looked contraception failure from the 'withdrawal method' of protection. This is in the range of 4 to 14%.

Precum definitely contain sperm in it, and this can also occur because in some men, the individuals do not clear their urinary tract after sexual intercourse and what happens is that, residual sperm from the previous ejaculation can mix with precum resulting in a pregnancy.

Thus, from the view of birth control, it is always wise to wear a condom for protection especially more so from a precum pregnancy.
