Songs of Conquest - Is it Worth Buying? - HOMM3's Spiritual Successor - Full Skirmish Play Through
I had no expectations going into Songs of Conquest, I've heard it say that it is supposed to follow Heroes of Might & Magic III. However, I've always been skeptical of that, because many games have tried to be like HOMM III (including HOMM's own actual successors), but they have not captured the magic and fun play style that HOMM 3 has. SoC had me extremely pleasantly surprised. I bought it on a whim because Battle.net was down so I could not play WC3 for a bit, so tonight we're trying out Song of Conquest, a turn-based strategy adventure game that fuses RPG, tactical combat and kingdom management. Let's see how the game feels with a full skirmish! Have you tried it? What do you think?!
