Cost Cards for Virtual Machines give Azure credit card users a clearer understanding of the total cost of ownership (TCO) for their VMs. This feature addresses previous limitations by providing a comprehensive cost breakdown directly within the Azure portal. This transparency empowers users to make more informed decisions about their VM usage. It's anticipated that Microsoft will extend this cost visibility to other services, promoting better cost estimation during solution development. This should reduce unexpected costs upon deployment to Azure.
