Transcript: What is goody gang, so today I am going to be talking about some good and kind of some bad news according to some people related to F2P things in genshin 4.0. So you might know that with every update we get a pretty good wave of F2P things and the Fontaine patch does not seem to be any different. Well beginning with the free characters, I think it is pretty obvious that we are getting a free Lynette in this version. This is because they always give one free character from the region at the start of every patch, similar to how got collei. This is usually because they would be helpful when exploring the region so maybe Lynette will be useful when exploring fontaine. Lynette herself is a four star anemo sword and she seems to be a blend of kazuha and sucrose while being slightly more on field depending on how you build her. I can make a guide to her if your interested so let me know in the comments if you are. I’m also pretty sure she will be added to the spiral abyss as well as a reward like collei and Xiangling so we could potentially be able to c1 her. It could also be that she is just added to the abyss and we don’t get her for free through an event but either way it is a win. Now moving on to the next free reward, I’m not sure how true this is but I have been seeing rumors everywhere that we are getting a free Bennett. I don’t really know what relation Bennett has to Fontaine and why we would be getting him for free but I just wanted to report that to let you know it is a possibility according to some people. Now that I think about it though considering Bennett is a healer and buffer hybrid I think he is given out for free to heal the team because a lot of Fontaine characters drain their HP. However some are disappointed with this free aspect of Fontaine which are the free weapons for the region. So the bow has attack substat and gives a 16% damage bonus for 8 seconds if healed, and it doesn’t seem to be too good for current characters. The sword is also attack substat and gives a 12% elemental damage bonus when using the skill and a max bonus attack of 150 every 10 seconds. The claymore is also an attack substat with a 24% attack bonus for eight seconds, so you can see a pattern with getting healed. The polearm is different with an HP substat where when they get healed they gain 8 energy, with this happening every ten seconds. I’d say this is the best of the free weapons, but moving on to the catalyst it is also an attack substat with a 24% elemental damage bonus after using elemental skill. Every ten seconds an object will spawn being 24% the characters HP, and if the user clears the item they can get a max of 12% elemental damage bonus. So this just looks like a hassle to get the bonus and many wished for an HP substat sword but we can see the weapons are a little different. You basically need to have a healer on your team if you want to use these weapons so it could be a little restrictive since you need consistent healers.
